Bailey Nelson’s response to COVID-19


To our valued Bailey Nelson customers,


Following official Government guidelines regarding COVID-19, we want to make the safety of our customers and team our top priority. 

 Due to Level Three restrictions, our stores in Auckland will be temporarily closed from 12pm on Wednesday, 12th August 2020 until Midnight Friday the 14th of August. Our remaining Christchurch, Wellington and Tauranga Stores will stay open under Level Two restrictions. Due to the ever changing nature of this situation this may change and we will endeavour to keep you updated.


Our stores in Auckland will be shut from 12pm on Wednesday 12th August, until midnight Friday the 14th of August, reopening Saturday the 15th of August. Our retail and optometry team in Auckland will be on site and available to answer any questions throughout this time both over the phone and via email.  For any urgent repairs or collections, we are able to offer these services from midday today in a contactless manner to help maintain distancing. Please contact the store if you require assistance with any of these services. If you have recently purchased glasses or contact lenses and are waiting for them to arrive into one of our Auckland stores, our team will contact you to organise delivery direct to your home, free of charge. Alternatively they can support contactless click and collect if delivery is not an option.

 All of our other stores outside Auckland will remain open and offering the full range of optometry and retail services under Level Two. 

We will have increased cleaning and sanitizing schedules of our store spaces and optometry equipment. As a healthcare provider, we rigorously adhere to the highest levels of sanitization. All customers who book in for an eye exam, contact lens appointment or see one of our Optometrist will be subject to screening either in person or over the phone prior to appointments. We will have non-contact infrared thermometers available for optometrists to pre-screen patients.

 For any urgent, emergency replacement contact lenses or prescription glasses, please contact any of our stores on how we can further assist you. If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms or have recently been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 please refrain from visiting our stores.
